Whenever people mention about "Banteay Srei", Banteay Srei Temple always pops up in our mind. Yes, Banteay Srei Temple is the landmark of Banteay Srei District, Siem Reap Province. But besides the temple, the district has many attractive places to visit.

Lotus Lake Community (Beong Chhuk)

Lotus Lake Community is a very huge lake surrounded by moutains and nice view. On the lake there are floating huts to rent and you can order meal from us to have there. It is one of the famous places to have meal in Banteay Srei. You can also rent a SUP board to enjoy the view around the lake. Swimming is allowed but you need to wear safety vest. You can only find it here at Lotus Lake.

Banteay Srei Temple​

The landmark of Banteay Srei District and one of the most attractive tourist sites in Siem Reap. Banteay Srei is built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still observable today. The buildings themselves are miniature in scale, unusually so when measured by the standards of Angkorian construction. These factors have made the temple extremely popular with tourists, and have led to its being widely praised as a "precious gem", or the "jewel of Khmer art.

The Cambodia Landmine Museum

The Cambodia Landmine Museum and Relief Center serves to educate the public on the dangers of landmines, and in addition it supports education for Cambodian youth. This home was created so that it might serve as a place of healing for bodies, hearts and minds.

The Landmine Museum is open from 7:30 – 17:30 every day of the year. Entry fee: $5 for adult, free for children under 12, free for Cambodian citizens. No Temple Pass is needed to visit the museum.

Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre (BBC)

The Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre (BBC) is a new tourist attraction for Siem Reap Province featuring a live display of Cambodian butterflies. Revenue generated by tourist admissions provides support for local poverty alleviation and conservation projects.

Phnom Kulen National Park

Phnom Kulen is considered a holy mountain in Cambodia, of special religious significance to Hindus and Buddhists who come to the mountain in pilgrimage. You can enjoy a swim in the “magical waters above or below the incredible waterfalls. In this river, there are carvings under the water that are simply amazing. Kulen mountain is also the location that was featured in the movie “Tomb Raider” with Angelina Jolie.

1 day - $20 USD per person. This ticket is payable at the Kulen mountain entry gate and valid only on the day of purchase.

Hab Mountain (Phnom Komnop Pagoda)

Want to find a nice atmosphere with fresh air with views from the top of the hill (rocky places)? Hab Mountain or Phnom Komnop Pagoda lies in the middle of the Kulen Mountain Range in the north.

Located in Khun Ream Commune, Banteay Srei District, between Banteay Srei and Phnom Kbal Spean along the highway, the gate is located on the right hand side of the road about 500 meters.

Kbal Spean

The site consists of a series of stone rock relief carvings in sandstone formations of the river bed and banks. It is a 2km uphill walk to the carvings, along a pretty path that winds its way up into the jungle, passing some interesting boulder formations along the way. Following the river down, there are several more impressive carvings of Vishnu, and Shiva with his consort Uma, and further downstream hundreds of lingas appear on the riverbed. Admission to Kbal Spean is included in the general Angkor pass; the last entry to the site is at 3.30pm.

Tani Ceramic Museum

Tani Ceramic Museum contains several closely spaced groups of kilns totaling 27 separate kilns and displays stoneware ceramics from various kilns in the Angkor area. This first ceramic museum built as a kiln, was established by the APSARA national authority with the financial support of the Japanese Embassy in Cambodia.

Phnom Bok is the third natural hill site. The visit of the temple involves climbing up 630 steps of a steep mountain. The view from the top is magical and offers 360-degree views of Angkor Wat and the Kulen Mountains.

Banteay Samre Temple

Banteay Samre Temple is a bit off the Grand Circuit, near the southeast corner of the East Baray. Large, comparatively flat temple displaying distinctively Angkor Wat-style architecture and artistry. The temple underwent extensive restoration this century by archaeologists using the anastylosis method. Banteay Samre was constructed around the same time as Angkor Wat. The style of the towers and balustrades bear strong resemblance to the towers of Angkor Wat. Many of the carvings are in excellent condition.
